The MRCEM OSCE consists of an Objective Structure Clinical Examination of 16, eight minute stations. An additional one minute of reading time is provided for candidates between each OSCE station.

The blueprint for the MRCEM OSCE station is as follows:

  • Complex stable patient: History Taking, Psychiatry & toxicology: 3 stations

  • Answer questions: Communication: counseling: 2 stations

  • Resuscitation: ALS, APLS, ATLS, New-born: 2-3 stations

  • Injured patient: Examination: 2-4 stations

  • PEM: NAI / History Taking / new diagnosis: 1 station

  • Procedural skills: 2 stations

  • Complex challenging situations: Communication: 2 stations

  • Supervision & Teaching: Procedures: 2 stations

  • Our course follows an approach where you will not be surprised by the exam. You will easily pass the OSCE exam confidently.
