The MRCEM OSCE consists of an Objective Structure Clinical Examination of 16, eight minute stations. An additional one minute of reading time is provided for candidates between each OSCE station.
The blueprint for the MRCEM OSCE station is as follows:

Complex stable patient: History Taking, Psychiatry & toxicology: 3 stations

Answer questions: Communication: counseling: 2 stations

Resuscitation: ALS, APLS, ATLS, New-born: 2-3 stations

Injured patient: Examination: 2-4 stations

PEM: NAI / History Taking / new diagnosis: 1 station

Procedural skills: 2 stations

Complex challenging situations: Communication: 2 stations

Supervision & Teaching: Procedures: 2 stations
